In August of 2013 the city of Yilan (Taiwan) will host a Celebration of the Tyrant’s Giant Creatures!

For this special occasion, the Tyrant of Cardboardia has tasked his citizens to bring about a complete and radical change in the events, conditions and emotions of daily life.  To achieve this goal, the Cardboard Technological Research Laboratory has been established on the Island of Taiwan to investigate the transformation of ideas into objects, the transition between flat and multi-dimensional actions, and the movement between unconscious and conscious states.

The laboratory staff will be engaged in the preparation of the Grand Metamorphosis Procession, which will take place under the influence of the moon and several Dream Machines.  For this project, the Cardboardia Technological Research Laboratory will consist of the “Department of Natural Laws”, responsible for the creation of the Cardboard Moon, which will guide the procession, and the “Department of Irrationality” responsible for catalyzing movements of the unconsciousness.

We are pleased to announce that the enrollment to the "Complete Cardboard” design school on the basis of "Made in Cardboardia" workshop (madein.cardboardia.info) is now open!

Cardboardia offers an intensive “Experience exchange” training course for the participants from other cities, regions and countries. This course lasts for two weeks. During the course participants will have a possibility to work on the projects together with our designers. Applications for the intensive course are accepted on a competitive basis from those persons who will be especially liked by Tyran of Cardboardia (cardboardia.info). Participants from abroad are also welcomed to join Cardboardia!

Starting from September 2013 we will be offering two new courses:

1) "Special course for illustrators" - we invite artists to join us in order to learn together and to create beautiful dimensional and flat objects and compositions out of cardboard. We provide additional placements for temporary training. During the course illustrators might also complete several special tasks.

2) "Weekend Training" - we offer a new opportunity for those who have a possibility to come to the workshop only during the weekends. For the whole month, you will work on individual and collective creative tasks, learning to think and express yourself in cardboard in the form of short stories (no more than 10 slides). The program is open for everyone. You don’t need to have previous artistic experience to join.

The“Complete Cardboard” school based at workshop “Made in Cardboardia”(www.facebook.com/madeincardboardia)

We launch international internship at workshop “Made in Cardboardia” (based in Moscow, Russia) and offer people who want to learn how to work with cardboard or upgrade their design and art skills to join this program.

Autumn training program connected with celebration of jubilee of S.Ya. Marshak(russian children poet). After passing the course in September-October you’ll be able to make by yourself: Divan, Suitcase, Grip, Picture, Basket, Cardboard... and even little dog (objects from famous Marshak poetry) . Objects will be placed in exhibition hall of State Museum of Literature from 15th of November till 31th of December, 2012 (Moscow, Trubnikovskij lane, 17). 

Traditionally, successful passing of the training give a possibility to participate us in Cardboardia materialisations (www.cardboardia.info) around the world and job placement in workshop «Made in Cardboardia» if you live in Moscow. It is possible to choose a week, 2 weeks or full month internship program. You can be designer, architect, artist or just a person who have ideas and want to develop it in cardboard.
